Illustrator®:

Convert all fonts to outlines. Include all images in a folder marked "images" Save file as eps.

Freehand®:

Convert all fonts to paths, Save file as eps.

Corel Draw®:

Export file as eps. Set export text as curves with PICT format for image header. Please do not send font files.

File Preparation Requirements

Digital Art

Called electronic art, this can be sent on a 3.5" disk, zip disk, CD-Rom and by e-mail. For the best results, create your art as vector art in Adobe Illustrator and save as an EPS (encapsulated postscript file). Convert your fonts to curves in CorelDraw and outlines in Adobe Illustrator. Include all files that have been placed, embedded, nested or imported into your art. Always send a hard copy of your artwork along with your order by fax or mail.

Bleeds

Any artwork with bleeds should allow for an extra 1/4 inch of color to bleed off the page. In order to keep the center point of the artwork constant, add 1/8 inch to each edge, whether there is a bleed on that edge or not (thus expanding the dimensions by 1/2 inch both horizontally and vertically. This allows the artwork to be properly placed in our printing layout completely dependent upon it's center point, helping reduce the risk of skewing.

Upon receipt of artwork, we will examine the file for errors or missing components. If a file cannot be opened or errors are found regarding the way the art has been assembled, we will advise you as soon as possible so that you can decide whether or not to make your own corrections.
